Microsoft yesterday announced the existence of a new zero-day vulnerability in Internet Explorer, which allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. Microsoft is currently working on an update which addresses this issue. In the mean time, users are encouraged to active the Data Execution Prevention Feature (DEP) in Internet Explorer. This feature is activated in Internet Explorer 8 by default.
